Absolutely stunning 17th century oak court cupboard, having a decorative canopy top over three panels, - two of which are doors. The panels depict carved images of men. Internally to the upper section is a half shelf. There is a knob missing from the left hand upper cupboard door. The court cupboard has two decoratively carved long drawers over two large cupboard doors which has a single shelf. The cupboard has the date ‘1671’ carved to the front and flanked by the letters ‘AD’ and ‘TB’ each side. This court cupboard is absolutely beautiful - with beautiful opulent carved detail… obviously with a piece of this age - it has a few small quirks…. There is evidence of historic worm which is inactive and has been treated. The cupboard remains very solid and heavy! It does split into two pieces for ease of movement and transport.
