Large late Victorian mahogany sideboard, having one central long drawer, flanked by two smaller drawers; over a double central cupboard which is lined with two shelves and flanked by two single cupboards. The cupboard on the left is lined with four graduates drawers and the one on the left has a shelf and four partitions. The sideboard is furnished with brass decorative drop down handles. It has a great patina that only comes with time and age.Originally we think this was a mirror back sideboard as there are two cut out areas to the rear of the top of the sideboard.There are some marks as to be expected with a piece of this age and there are some small pieces of veneer missing - especially to the bottom of the drawers - see all photographs! Dimensions 83cm, 56cm deep and 92cm high. The only other thing to mention is that the doors to the cupboards are rather stiff - this should settle down once in a warmer environment, but personally I would probably add knobs or brass pulls...more
