1890's Vintage Ironstone Double Dish - Edge, Malkin & Co Burslem Trentham - Nibbles/ Serving Dish - Soap Dish - Ring Dish - Catchall Dish A pretty antique double serving dish produced by Edge, Malkin & Co in Newport, England during the 1890's. The dish has a lovely transfer pattern depicting roses in bloom and bud with scroll landscape pictures. The images are shown on the inner base, inner sides and exterior sides of the dish. It has gold gilt edges and a beautiful pierced detailing at either handles and a ribbed pattern in relief at the divide. The pattern is detailed as 'Trentham' which is a picturesque area in Staffordshire, England. This bijou double dish would be perfect serving a number of uses. From soap dish to serving dish, ring or trinket dish or a general catchall tray for the entry way. It would also be great housing knick-knacks in the office. Condition wise, the dish features crazing and brown mottling throughout. There is a hairline split to one of the pierced handle sections as detailed in image #7 and some general fading to the gold gilt rim. The piece is stamped to the base and features Reg'd No. 77306.
