18th Century Antique Double Eared Small Bowl - Quimper Faience, Signed Rouen - Hand Painted Primitive French Earthenware Dessert Bowl A lovely bijou 18th Century French glazed earthenware bowl produced in Malicorne, France, featuring two scalloped eared handles and a tapered footed base. Decorated in the Quimper fashion the bowl has been hand finished in a primitive style. It depicts a peasant walking with a stick in a glen to the inner base and foliage patterns to the exterior with blue bands throughout. This charming piece is brightly decorated in blue, orange, green and yellow tones and with age, it has developed a beautiful blue hue to the white areas of the bowl. As detailed in the images the bowl features chip damage to the rim, the handles and foot with crazing to the glaze throughout. It also has discolouration to the rim and handles. It is signed 'Rouen' to the base with an impressed no. 2 Grade: Fair Measurements H: 6cm W (Incl.
