1910s WW1 "The Allies" Dog Breeds Print Picture

A large double page center fold supplement from "The Illustrated London News" from June 12th 1915. Designed to be removed from the newspaper and kept as a souvenir/posters. Other supplements from the same paper and era are available (see other listings). I believe these all to be originals and not reproductions due to the collection they came from. The print depicts "The Allies" by Maud Earl, showing several breeds of dog (Japanese Spaniel, Belgian Griffon, Russian Borzoi, French Bulldog & British Bulldog) representing the allied countries at war against Germany in WW1. It notes on the bottom of the print that the Italian greyhound was omitted as the original painting was done before Italy had joined the allies by the time it was printed (trying to save themselves the hassle of getting a new painting created/sourcing one at the time!) Size Approx: 57cm x 40.5cm Some wear, scuffs and slight edge creases/marks/tears and a fingerprint, all mainly round the border due to age and a centre crease due to being folded inside the original paper.
