A large vintage – nearly antique – mouth-blown opaline glass plafonnier shade with moulded decoration, including a ribbed body and a frieze of stylised oak leaves in bas relief. The surface of the glass has a warm red-black faux-marble finish. It has three decorative gilt bronze knops that support the chain inside the shade, and three generous lengths of beautiful solid welded bronze chain. Height: 200 mm / 7.8" Width or Diameter: 420 mm / 16.5" The shade has a few small nibbles to the top rim, as is common with these shades, and would not be seen when hung. Otherwise, perfect....more
