Large rare & collectable vintage compendium of "The Complete Book of Fortune A Comprehensive Survey Of The Occult Sciences & Other Methods Of Divination" circa 1936. Chapters on tarot & tea leaf reading, mysticism, oracles, clairvoyance, talismans & more! Full of amazing instructional illustrations & diagrams. The textured cover features a crystal ball, an owl, playing cards, stars & the moon & possibly a pierced heart. The spine is in the same style showing Egypt & its pyramids. Made in England & published by "Associated Newspapers Ltd". Some interesting & dubious words & observations within. A classic from the occult arts, supernatural & magic loving 1930s! Some wear to the front cover/spine, storage damage marks to the back, pencilled name written in the front, some pencil doodles, few marks/tiny edge tears to/on some pages, little colour bleed from the cover dye along the top of some pages, pages have slightly come away from the spine in places (not individually loose/missing), pages have storage marks/foxing on the sides (visible when book is shut) & slight musty smell from prior poor storage. Still very much readable....more
