1950s Ceramic Cake Plate & Slice with “The Gondoliers” Venice Scene, made by Royal Tudorware Barker Bros Ltd, England. Plate Diameter:28cm Base 19cm, Cake Slice: 27cm Length, 7cm Width The simplicity of these cute stylised illustrations instantly screams fifties, and the clean shapes of the ceramics themselves is a great nod to this super stylish Mid Century era. What better way to bring a touch of this period, and romance of Venice to your dining table?! As always, we have picked this piece as it will work equally well in a retro or modern home. Overall in Good vintage condition, but there is some crazing to the glaze, and small grazes to the underside of the plate and slice - all of which we have tried to show in our imagery.
