Very unusual studio pottery bowl from the 1960’s. A rare form of crystalline reactive layered glaze has been employed to produce the patterning and subtle lustre finish. It reminds me of the inside of a kiwi fruit! Bears no makers mark. Measures 21cm across and 4cm deep, so it’s very shallow. Has some mild crackle to the glaze, commensurate with age. This is a hand thrown studio piece, so it has a very slightly uneven small section at the rim - please check the photos thoroughly as these form part of the description....more
