Lovely simple sphere shaped candle holder made with the rarest wood in the world. That wood being Myrtlewood, which hails from Oregon, USA. A very popular wood during the mid century period, it has a more cool blond colour (last two photos) and has a lovely grain. The piece has been coated in varnish and has a gold metal indent to hold a normal taper candle. There is a barely noticeable dent in the varnish (see last photo).
