a stunning little painting in a great vintage condition for its age. no fading or marks. In it’s a original 70s Frame. Nancie Ruth Pelling, was born at Hendon, London on 7 May 1920, daughter of Arthur George Pelling (8 April 1871-30 August 1977), a brewer's manager, and his wife Ruth née Gibb (20 August 1871-1 May 1958), who married at Paddington, London in 1902 and in 1939 were living at 'Gippeswych', Pondtail Lane, Horsham, Sussex. Nancie studied at Bromley College of Art and trained at Ipswich School of Art and later became teacher of art at St Felix School, Southwold in Suffolk where she was on the staff for many years and was a co-author of a history of the school in 1998. An artist and calligrapher, painting in watercolour, both flowers and landscapes, she was also an illustrator and made architectural drawings, and was a weaver and illustrated 'Southwold and St Barnabus' (1997).
