2 vintage strings of ceramic tomatoes and garlic

Two fabulous strings of retro ceramic kitchen decoration - one each of tomatoes and garlic bulbs. These two vintage beauties are from France, but examples are to be found throughout Southern Europe. Traditionally, fruits and vegetables were hung outside and dried in the sun, in order to preserve them for future use 🍅🧄. The string of tomatoes is approx. 45 cm long and the tomato is 4.5 cm in diameter, there are 12 on the string. The garlic string is approx. 45 cm long and the bulb is 5 cm, there are 12 on the string. Price is for the two. These are exceptional examples of the classic 1960’s kitchen decor, long and heavy with tomatoes and garlic on plaited string, and are beautifully hand painted, stunning and stylish! As all items are preloved, there maybe signs of wear and use.
