Pair of Antique Princess of Diamond Brass Candle Holders with Faceted Details. Measurements are as follows ~ 2cm Opening for Candle, 19.5cm Height, 7cm x 7cm Base We were drawn to the slightly fancy yet incredibly classic style of these brass candlesticks and later discovered that similar designs were made in 1897 in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. A series of candlesticks were made known as ‘Ace of Diamonds, ‘King of Diamonds’ and ‘Queen of Diamonds’ etc… Whilst we don’t believe ours to be originals, they have the gravitas of the Victorian era and are fitted with candle ejector pusher rods. Offering a touch of vintage Christmas for the Holiday season, or perfect for romantic dinners, atmospheric entertaining at your dining table - or cosy nights all the year round. They would also make a wonderfully symbolic Golden Wedding gift. As always, we have picked these candlesticks as they will look equally at home in a retro or modern aesthetic. In Very Good Vintage Condition - but please be aware that there will be some natural patina to the brass - shown in our imagery where possible....more
