40's Carlton Ware Rouge Royale Shell & Leaf Bowls

40's Carlton Ware Rouge Royale Duo Of Shell Form Bowls - Graduated Rouge Red & Black w/ Gold Gilt - Vintage Collectible Lustre Ware A stunning pair of Carlton Ware bowls produced in the form of a shell (or perhaps a leaf?!) in the 'Rouge Royale' pattern dated to the 40's. The base of the both pieces show the script style Carlton Ware stamp. The larger bowl features an impressed design number '1973' whilst the smaller bowl features '1976'. The duo are in fantastic condition overall with no cracks, chips or nibbles to either piece. There is crazing evident to the underside of both pieces but the main internal and external bodies are sound. Both bowls feature a handful of very light surface scratches to the red lustre leaving a lighter pink mark, evident more so on the inside of the smaller bowl. Both pieces display some wear to the gold gilt along the rim and handles. Very minor imperfections given the age of these beauties.
