Vintage 1945 first edition hardback in brown-red with silver lettering on the cover and the dust jacket flaps still attached inside. The first novel of Irish writer Sheila Pim. One of several smart and witty murder mysteries she wrote with a horticultural theme! Published by Hodder & Stoughton, London, England. Missing the outside of the dust jacket (partially glued down inner flaps remain), several library stamps & sticker inside, some writing (price, library number and someone's name and the date - presumably given as a gift/dated when purchased), some cover wear/corner curls and a small lump on the front, some page marks, a slight musty smell from storage and the pages have slightly come away from the spine inside (no loose individual/missing pages). Priced accordingly (I've seen it sell for four times this amount with the jacket) and still in overall good, readable condition....more
