40's Vintage Oak Pedestal Fruit Bowl - Hand Turned Footed Bowl - Wooden Stand / Serving Bowl - Country Farmhouse Kitchen Antique Kitchenware A beautiful antique hand turned oak fruit bowl on a capstan pedestal; the perfect table centrepiece which would look great adorned with fruit with a punnet of grapes draped over the side like a still-life painting. This handcrafted dark oak wooden piece has a stunning detail to the grain, best observed in the centre of the bowl which is convex in shape. The hand turned pedestal elegantly descends to a bulbous base and a curved foot with a cork furniture protecting base. It's a highly tactile piece and testament to the skilled workmanship. The bowl has some wear to the stain on the inside of the bowl commensurate with age and a couple of slight knocks to the base. In addition, the recess where the pedestal is mounted to the bowl is a little larger in diameter than the pedestal as detailed in the final image.
