50's Vintage Flying Phoenix Ware Trio Set - Fine Japanese Porcelain Blue on White Tea Cup, Saucer & Side Plate with Floral Detailing - Japan A lovely set of three Japanese porcelain pieces consisting of tea cup, saucer and side plate. The set, produced in Japan during the 50's for the export market and most likely of Noritake origin, features the flying phoenix pattern amidst an array of flowers. The set is in great condition overall. The cup features some nibbling to the rim and a yellow mark inset of the rim which I have not had any success in removing. All pieces feature slips in the pattern from the manufacturing process. The plates are marked 'Made In Japan' to the base whilst the cup is unsigned.
