6 Washington Pottery check trios asst colours 22ct

A fabulous trio of Mid Century china from Washington Pottery, checks, gingham & gold gilt finished, each trio consists of cup, saucer and side plate. The pieces are decorated with checks, black lines and bands of colour, flowers and foliage and finished with 22 carat gold gilt. Colours are burgundy, olive green, light green, grey, yellow and light blue on a white background, and gold to surface, handles and and rims. This distinctive design was produced by Washington Pottery, Hanley circa 1950’s, is hard-to-find and very collectible. Set is perfect for a special tea party and a great gift for collectors of vintage china! 6 trios available, message with colour choice, red set is £10. The plates are approx. 17 cm in diameter, the saucers are 14 cm and the cups are 8 cm high. The pieces are in good condition, some have faint crazing, some minor signs of wear, the gilt is still very good. Red cup handle has been broken and glued at some point.
