60s Illustrated Encyclopedia Of Animals Book Set

Vintage 1964 "The Illustrated Encyclopedia Of Animal Life" complete 16 hardback book collection by "Odhams" They cover mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, fishes, invertebrates & insects. Beautiful covers, fabulous photos & drawings as well as packed full of interesting information. 15 of them come with their original matte or gloss paper dust/transport jackets & I made a replacement for the other as it didn't have one. Price is for the set. They've been cleaned due to poor storage & had dust jackets wiped & repaired using paper safe tape on tears & new paper sections added where sections are missing. Jackets helped preserve the covers & most pages inside. Some slight wear/marks externally & a few inside - generally the first/last few pages have storage marks. The jackets have previous dust/possibly mould damage & could be disposed of/copied (originally just for transport). I've cleaned/fixed them as they were originally together. Vol 1 has a jacket with text. They've a musty smell which may fade in time once used/aired (60 years on a shelf!). Internally they're in wonderful condition overall & are very much readable.
