60's Mid Century Vintage Doria Wall Sconce

A fabulous 60's wall sconce produced by Doria lighting, Germany. With a white opaque tapered glass shade and painted copper & black metal base unit with black band of repeated floral detailing. Condition wise, the glass light shade features a small chip to the base edge (see final image), however this is the side which slots in to the metal bulb chamber and therefore is not visible. The neck of the glass shade where it fits in to the metal chamber is also marked where it has come in to contact with the glass. The light features a pull switch which provides the reassuring 'click' when pulled. The once-white pull cord is now discoloured with age. There are also minor nicks to the black painted coat showing the metal base on both the stem and the rear flush panel. The aluminium panel is slotted in to place but will require screws to hold it to the black metal pattress. As detailed in the images, the sconce will need to be rewired. Accordingly, please note that the electrics have not been tested. The sconce will take a small candle bayonet-style bulb.
