Beautifully restored folding tooled leather chair designed by Angel Pazmino for Muelbles de Estilo, Ecuador, 1960s. Pazmino was directly inspired by the work of celebrated designer Hans Wegner through a cross cultural exchange programme that introduced and promoted European modernist design in South America. This is a rare example with a woven leather seat which has been completed restored. Condition: Very good vintage condition, relevant to age and use. The folding mechanism to the chair has been previously repaired but this does not effect the structure of the chair. The tooled leather back and wooden frame have been treated and polished and the woven seat has been replaced with brand new high quality leather.
