Anyone for custard? This might be one of my favourite listings ever. This charming set of custard cups/ glasses. Sold together as a set of four, but you will see from the pictures three are identical and one is slightly dumpier with a shorter stem. But they all carry the same sliced fluted decoration. Perfect for an aperitif this festive season or just the best gift for a glass lover. These glasses are late 19th century/ early 20th century. I have other glasses from the same period listed in my Etsy store. The collection comes from a family member of the original owners of the glassware. These glasses would have been used at glamorous soirées in London as the lady’s family were part of the theatre scene at the time. The stories these glasses could tell. These glasses are in amazing condition for their age. There is some imperfections in the glass, bubbles and small raised errors, but nothing major. Approx 7cm high...more
