A pair of large heavy brutalist Cast Iron Rat de Cave French Adjustable Spiral Candleholders Originally made in Burgundy France in the mid-18th century. Known as a Rat de cave, or cellar rat. These were used throughout France in wine cellars lighting the room and checking the fermenting gases which could be dangerous.
