The Abaca Pinangabol is a traditional weave of the Daraghuyan Bukidnon Community in the Philippines. Traditionally used for protective clothing, the Abaca Pinangabol is woven in a vertical loom using abaca fiber that is abundant in their forest. Pinangabol weaves carry with them generations of tradition and spirituality, as women of the Daraghuyan Tribe perform a ritual before beginning their day's work on the loom. The ikat variation of the Pinangabol features two-toned gradients achieved by applying a tie-dye technique using plant pigments. Set of 2 Due to the handmade nature of our pieces, there may be slight variations in size, color, and pattern from item to item.
