William is an Outside In artist who names Paul Gauguin, Picasso and Paul Klee amongst his influences. The exhibition showcased just some of the works that he has created over the last 50 years. Earlier this year, at The Lightbox Gallery Woking William Lai: Reflections on the Psyche 13 June 2023 -25 June 2023 William Lai’s work explores deeply emotional and creative imagery, drawing from his fascination with notions of the ancient and contemporary psyche. Reflecting on his vast life experiences, he found numerous and innate resources that he could tap into through artmaking; forms he could construct with flow and ease.
