Rare and exceptional African hand carved ebony wood sculpture table lamp, depicting a family of antelope. A beautifully intimate carved tableau. Created in a single block of ebony wood it displays the mastery of the maker. An exceptional carving, and interpretation of a scene from nature. 1940s / early mid-20th century, with original British 2-pin plug. It also has its original lampshade which is in excellent vintage condition. Wonderful authentic piece of lighting decor from the period. * does not come with the lampshade in the photos - comes with original ‘chintz’ lampshade shown in individual photograph....more
