This design was initially made in 2001 and the we think this is an early version. Designed by architect Lluis Clotet, for Alessi, it features a rippling high shine chrome finish. This creates unexpected and almost water-like reflections and contrast of values in metallic tones. It's a beautiful piece that will definitely make a statement in your home. We think it has an industrial look to it, but isn't too cold. It'd look stunning on a coffee table or as a featured accent on shelving. The bowl is in quite good vintage condition, with minor surface scratches, primarily to the base of the dish where it has been sitting on surfaces. This is to be expected in a piece of its finish and age, but please do look at the images as they will give the best indication of what the object looks like.
