A wonderfully crafted and unique console table (circa 1990), by Warwickshire based craftsman Andrew Varah (1944-2012). Made from beautifully finished burr Maple veneer on a Walnut frame, the materials used are extremely good quality. The tapered legs lead up to interlocking curves, seamlessly connecting the frame and the top of the table, creating a floating effect. The condition of the piece is excellent with little to no wear. The highly unconventional nature of its design leaves a slight wobble in the legs only noticed when the drawers are in use, easily rectified with a small bracket on the underside of the frame attaching to the wall.
