A gorgeous and exciting piece of antique furniture. This 17th Century oak coffer most likely used to store grain used to be in Lord and Lady Armitage's Kirklees hall estate, 16th century Grade I Jacobean hall close to the village of Clifton in Calderdale, West Yorkshire. This lovely oak coffer was part of the auction sale of Lord and Lady Armytage estate belongings in March 2013.
