Diary of Samuel Pepys, Volume 1 (1912) and Volume 2 (undated) Samuel Pepys was an English Diarist and naval administrator. Over the course of the narrative Pepys works to root out corruption in the navy, commits corruption of his own and is an eye witness to major historical events including the Great Plague of 1665 and the Great Fire of London 1666 (sounds like a rough two years in London!) These books have the most beautiful Art Nouveau style decorative inside covers and first couple of pages! Seen in the second photo alongside other beautiful books (all of which currently still available when posting this one!) why not create a collection to add easy and immediate character to your home decor....more
