Bought from an East Yorkshire home owner, love how they shine in front of the dark background here ❤️ Almost identical but subtle differences in their manufacture give them even more character. Some small flaws and signs of age but good general condition. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It’s use in candle making has flourished since the end of the 17th century when mining rights were granted. Prior to this rights belonged to the crown and therefore raw materials were more or less unavailable for manufacture.
