An antique framed, colour, botanical book plate from 'Roses and their Culture' by W.D Prior 1886. New, gold, wooden frame with hanging attachment. The book plate depicts the rose 'Star of Waltham'. This is an old English rose, first introduced in 1875, which is still in cultivation today. The illustration is beautifully coloured and complemented by a simple gold frame. It would work well in a contemporary or vinatge interior and makes the perfect gift for gardeners and rose lovers. Frame size: 18.3cm high, 12.3cm wide, 1.7cm deep. Frame opening: 15cm high, 9cm wide. Condition: Book plates are in excellent antique condition. Custom frames are new. Vintage and antique items will show marks commensurate with age.
