An antique 'penny' style carver chair dating from the early 20th century. It has a thick round shaped seat, spindle back and scrolling arms supported by turned spindles. It stands on four turned legs joined by a H-stretcher. The chair stands approximately 92 cm high and it is 55 cm wide across the arms. The seat is 51 cm deep and 45 cm high. It is in good original condition with a nice colour. It is strong and sturdy with no signs of worm or any major damages. There are signs of age and use, some marks and light knocks on the seat and around the legs but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use....more
