Fabulous antique deed box with the original insignia of Knights of Malta No.50 Hinckley on the front. The interior is beautifully lacquered in a copper finish - the trunk is great quality and very substantial in weight. I've thoroughly cleaned the whole piece then waxed and polished it to preserve the patina Perfect as unique decorative storage. As with all my vintage and antique pieces this has bumps and blemishes that reflect its previous life adding to its character and charm - there is some paint loss and obvious wear to the exterior and some wear to the interior. The handles are functional and the lid opens and closes engaging with the lock - please note that it is a snug fit. There is a lock but no key. Please get in touch if you would like more photographs.
