This lovely vintage box has been transformed into a pretty decorative storage box using aged gold leaf embellished with a hand painted leafy design. The gilded exterior has been sealed with several layers of lacquer and the original interior surface has been thoroughly cleaned and sealed to retain the patina. As with all my vintage pieces this has bumps and blemishes that reflect its previous life adding to its character and charm - there is a small dent to the lid and some areas of rust to the inside of the lid.
