Very rare pair of metal Italian chocolate mould trays, one of which is stamped with the name of the Luigi e F.lli Maganza factory in Milan. Both frames are heavy metal (likely cast iron) construction, dating them to the earliest period of production. Although the exact date is unknown, they can be attributed to the 1920s-1930s as in later years, lighter metal was used before production moved to using plastic and then silicon moulds. The Maganza stamped tray has 30 small metal lantern moulds soldered to it. The second tray has 20 decorative medallion shaped metal moulds soldered to it. Both the lanterns and medallions have lovely detail and are in excellent condition. Both trays have integrated fixing points so can be hung on display in your home.
