*Antique Limoges/Pickard /Fuchs Strawberry Plate*

This is a stunning antique hand painted plate decorated with beautiful strawberries. Rich red berries suspended from the vine with contrasting green leaves and soft white blossoms. A wonderful gold painted border circles the plate with stylish black ink contrasting design. The plate measures approx 6" in diameter and is double marked on the rear and signed by the artist on the front. The plate is signed on the front J. Fuchs for John Fuchs. Certain Pickard artists are forever associated with particular patterns or themes, and one such example is John Fuchs. An accomplished decorator for Pickard, over the years produced a number of beautiful and vivid patterns. Also marked with Limoges France and with the Pickard Studio Mark 4, ca. 1903-1905. The plate is in lovely antique/vintage condition with a little wear to the gold around the edges but there are no chips or dings.
