Antique French Louis XVI Carved Marble Top Console with Trumeau is the perfect selection for a tall yet narrow space, perhaps between windows or next to openings and doorways, such as an entranceway. Designed in two pieces, it features a trumeau top with romantic-themed painting all set in a charming framework consisting of fine molded detail, spiral ribbon, rosettes, and a crown of a floral wreath atop. The mirror feature an egg & dart trim with light foxing to the mercury hinting at its age and history. It provides a lovely reflection overlooking the demilune marble surface of the console below. The console features a trifoilate overlay motif on the apron, with an acanthus flourish appearing over the singular scrolled leg, itself also adorned with carved acanthus leaves descending down the cabriole form and again upturned at the foot.
