Antique Pair Of Oak Barley Twist Candlesticks w/ Chrome Wax Drip Catcher Bobeches - Set of 2 Vintage Solid Wood Candle Holders - 23cm A beautiful antique pair of solid oak candlestick holders with a lustrous varnish. The upright stands are beautifully turned in a barley twist design giving an exceptional cross section of the wood grain from every angle. The bases also reveal a beautiful grain detail. The candle holders feature chrome, or possibly silver plated wax drip catcher bobeches and have been polished to a high shine by previous owners. The bases have what appears to be retrofitted cork furniture protectors to the underside. The set would look great on display on a mantlepiece or as a table centrepiece for all occasions. They are suitable for tapered candles with a diameter of 2cm. The condition of both candlesticks is excellent. There is some raising of the varnish to the top of one stick and some hairline splitting to one of the bases commensurate with age.
