antique red and white painted chest of drawers

This beautiful antique pine chest of drawers has been refinished in a fabulous hand painted candy stripe design. Using a bespoke mix, I created this ruby red shade and paired it with a crisp white. Painting traditional candy cane stripes which wrap around the body of this character filled chest of drawers. The paintwork has been top coated on a semi matte clear varnish for added durability and a soft sheen. The inside of the chest of drawers & drawers have been clear varnished also. A set of solid polished brass cup handles have been attached, to compliment the key hole covers. These pop against the fun design and colours. There are four spacious drawers, each smooth running, and this beautiful antique chest sits on its original tulip style feet. The pine top has been sanded smooth and stained using a warm brown staining oil. This fabulous piece of furniture has been lovingly restored, making it the perfect statement piece to add to a children’s bedroom or nursery.
