Lovely antique handmade box, with hinged lid and carry handle. Likely dating from the Edwardian period. It has a simple used rustic appearance. It’s likely that the box was previously used to house sewing accessories. The lid is hinged in the centre, to create two divided storage compartments. One compartment runs the full length. The other is divided into two further compartments. The box has been lightly refurbished throughout - stripped, sanded and oiled. It’s a charming box, with lots of character.
