Antique Solid Oak Table Top Sewing Box, Keepsake Hinged Lid Wood Box - Handmade Dovetail Wooden Lidded Chest, Vintage Gifts for Sewers 5x13" The ideal gift for the sewing lovers among us! This lovely handmade wooden sewing box has been skilfully constructed with Oak, including dovetail joints and a chrome pull. It is varnished to a beautiful shine. Perfect for all manner of storage requirements from keepsake box to crafts storage or tea caddy. The box features some general wear and tear in the form of surface scratches to the outer lid and some knocks to the outer walls as detailed in the images. Inside, the box features a worn and marked upper padded lining (the padding is rather lack lustre and is partially detached from the lid) and a ball chain linkage hardware to save the hinges from strain. There is evidence of the chain catching on the inner lid rim in previous use. Please note that the box would have housed an internal shelf however this is no longer present.
