classic model of a Roman soldier bearing a spear, mounted on a rearing horse. The figure is cast in spelter and mounted on a shallow oval wooden base. The spear can be removed from the man’s hand. The detail of both horse and rider is good. There has been a previous repair to the rider’s raised hand which is barely visible and appears strong.
