ANTIQUE TALL FRENCH GILT & GESSO TRUMEAU MIRROR CIRCA 1850. Louis XVI style TRUMEAU MIRROR in wood and gilded stucco. The original bevelled mirror is still present with attractive foxing to the surface. The mirror is decorated with a medallion representing a gallant scene The frame is wood and plaster gilded topped with a scrolled flower knot and decorative swags originally (accidents and missing parts). Fabulous statement mirror of substantial size. Original and unmolested and perfect as a floor standing bedroom or hallway/living room centre piece. As a genuine antique/vintage item there is wear and use commensurate with age. Some wooden products may have signs of historic woodworm.
