A stunning antique Victorian carved deep buttoned spoon back nursing chair circa 1880. Lovingly restored and polished using traditional materials and methods then reupholstered in lush contrasting grey & purple striped velvets which are finished with a complimentary gimp braid. The chair has a lovely rosewood show frame with striking grain, good patina featuring attractive carved floral designs on the head rail and serpentine front. With a fully re-webbed and resprung stuff over seat, the chair stands on carved cabriole front legs and splayed back legs. There is a minor historic area of wood loss to one of the flower carvings on the top rail. A visually stunning antique centrepiece for any living space.
