Antique Victorian tall tortoise bamboo plant stand. At some point traditional seagrass surfaces were replaced with butterfly embossed covering painted black. The contrast of bamboo and black paint works really well creating a very attractive and unique piece. The plant stand is in a nice vintage condition with bamboo having been recently varnished and looking bright and glossy. There are some minor signs of wear and a few insignificant paint stains.
