Antique / Vintage Cabinet with Foxed Mirrors

Beautiful antique pine cabinet with original bevel edged mirrors which are attractively foxed (the bottom one sits at a slightly wonky angle). It's been stripped of its original varnish then washed with thin layers of eau de nil furniture paint to give it an aged patina. It's sealed with white wax - this will protect it but care needs to be taken; standing liquid and harsh cleaning products are likely to damage the surfaces. The cabinet may have originally been part of a larger piece as there are places on the sides and base of the legs where nail holes exist, plus there is the notch out of one side where it appears a pole may have been inserted. Rather than fill and disguise these I've left them visible, to show its history but also as I wanted the grain of the wood to be visible which opaque paint would mask. *The key does not work* Currently a tabletop cabinet, it could easily be wall mounted - please let me know if you would like fixings attached. 53.5x26x19cm 4.5 kilos P&P £20...more
