Rare and stunning art deco lamp. The fluted stem is made from catalin (the follow on from bakelite, catalin was made in much brighter colours) with a wonderful butterscotch / amber colour. The base is chrome with a gorgeous design. The glass shade is a cream stepped design which perfectly suits the tapered base. In excellent condition with no flaws to the chrome aside from minor pitting. The stem swivels slightly to the base when moved but perfectly fine once placed. Fully working as shown and recently PAT tested with the original base switch still working, this is a special art deco lamp. Height - 44.5 cms....more
