Wonderful piece of art deco Clarice Cliff. In 1925, Cliff was given her own studio initially taking defective wares and crudely handpainting them with geometric patterns to hide the faults. Proving very popular, this range was named Bizarre and ran from 1928 -1935. Often referred to as Original Bizarre by collectors, this meant a range of designs rather than one specific pattern but all typically with thickly applied bright colourways and geometric shapes. This fabulous bowl has a bold pattern of blue, red, green and cream. In very good condition with no chips or cracks; some minor scratching to the paint as photographed.
