Very large and absolutely stunning bronze by Belgian sculptor Michel Decoux (1837 - 1924). This spectacular piece is a stylised male warrior with spear known as Le Guerrier (The Warrior). Signed to the back on the bronze, the figure is in excellent condition with a wonderful patina. It is mounted on a beautiful black and verdigris marble base in similarly excellent condition with only very minor nibbles to the bottom edges. This original piece is substantial in both size and weight. A high quality and fabulous vintage art deco piece of history. Width - 76 cms (64.75 cms base width). Height - 46 cms. Depth - 20 cms.
